What are risk-management strategies?
Betting strategies (stake management) do NOT change your odds of winning. They only determine how you spread your stakes over time.
They come from the world of financial trading and casinos. They serve to manage your bankroll (your budget) so it lasts as long as possible, giving you the most attempts for your budget.
Golden rule: NEVER play with money you cannot afford to lose.

Flat Betting

Fibonacci Progression
Risk: MediumHow it works
After each loss you increase the stake following the Fibonacci sequence (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21...). After a win, you step back 2 positions in the sequence.

- + Slower growth than the Martingale
- + After a win you recover part of your losses
- + Mathematically more sustainable than doubling

- − Requires discipline to step back after a win

Recommended stop-loss
Stop at 10-12 steps at most (cumulative ~€140). If you get there without winning, go back to the base stake.
Martingale (Doubling)
Risk: HighHow it works
You double the stake after each loss. When you win, you go back to the base stake. The idea is that a single win recovers all previous losses.

- + Works well if you win within a few steps

- − The cost EXPLODES after just a few losses (exponential)
- − After 10 losses with a €1 base you've spent €1,023
- − Requires a huge bankroll
- − The probability of ruin is high for rare plays (ambo, terno)
- − Does NOT change the odds — only the risk

ONLY for a single number with many numbers (high probability) and a large bankroll. NOT RECOMMENDED for ambo and terno.
Recommended stop-loss
6-7 steps MAXIMUM (€63 cumulative). If you don't win, go back to flat betting and wait.
