Lotto Guide
Lotto is a multinomial game: each wheel is an independent draw of 5 numbers from 90. On Lottomatikai you find delays, frequencies, integral and reduced systems, Bayesian multi-wheel. The AI is an analysis tool, not a winning-number predictor.
Game rules
Italian Lotto draws 5 numbers from 1 to 90 on 11 independent wheels (Bari, Cagliari, Firenze, Genova, Milano, Napoli, Palermo, Roma, Torino, Venezia, Nazionale). You play on a single wheel, on multiple wheels (multi-ruota), or on All wheels. Possible outcomes per wheel are: ambata (1 number), ambo (2), terno (3), quaterna (4), cinquina (5). Draws happen Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 20:00 CET.
Probabilities by category (single wheel)
The values below refer to a single wheel. For multi-wheel play probabilities combine in more complex ways (cross-wheel modeling is handled by the Bayesian Multi-Wheel module).
| Category | Probability | 1 in |
|---|---|---|
| Ambata (1 number) | 1 / 18 | 18 |
| Ambo (2 numbers) | 1 / 400,5 | 400,5 |
| Terno (3 numbers) | 1 / 11.748 | 11.748 |
| Quaterna (4 numbers) | 1 / 511.038 | 511.038 |
| Cinquina (5 numbers) | 1 / 43.949.268 | 43.949.268 |
Source: standard combinatorics (C(90,5) = 43,949,268 possible cinquine). Per-wheel probabilities are independent: winning on Bari does not increase nor decrease the chance of winning on Milano on the same draw.
Why AI cannot predict winning numbers
Lotto draws are i.i.d. — independent and identically distributed. No statistical, machine learning or deep learning model can predict them.
Lotto draws are the outcome of a physical process (mechanical wheels, ADM-supervised draw) designed to be random. Each number from 1 to 90 has probability 5/90 ≈ 5.56% of being drawn in a specific draw of a wheel, regardless of what came out before.
On Lottomatikai the AI does not generate "numbers to play". The AI is used for: (1) descriptive statistical analysis (delays, frequencies, cadences, patterns), (2) optimization of integral and reduced systems with guaranteed coverage, (3) rigorous backtesting without lookahead bias, (4) risk framework and bankroll management.
If a service guarantees you winning Lotto numbers, they are lying. "99% accurate" predictions do not exist and violate ADM responsible-gambling regulations.
System types
A Lotto system distributes the bet across multiple combinations to increase coverage. The platform supports:
- • Integral system: covers all C(n,k) possible combinations of k numbers chosen from a pool of n. Maximum coverage, cost linear in the number of combinations.
- • Reduced systems: guaranteed coverage on lower outcomes (e.g. ambo on a terno system) with fewer combinations. Optimized set cover.
- • Conditional systems: filters on sum, parity, decades, cadences. Reduce the play space while preserving desired statistical properties.
- • Bayesian multi-wheel: probabilistic management of the cross-wheel bet using historical priors and the outcome pattern.
Risk plan and bankroll
Risk in Lotto is asymmetric: a cinquina payout is 1:43,949,268 but in practice ADM/Sisal multipliers are much lower for smaller outcomes. The platform supports:
- Maximum bet per draw (configurable cap)
- Tracking of consecutive draws without a win per wheel
- Kelly fraction (conservative f/4 mode) to size the bet
- Drawdown cap on bankroll (auto-pause at threshold)
- Hourly/daily stop-loss and mandatory cooldown
Gambler's fallacy
The "gambler's fallacy" is the mistaken belief that a random event becomes more likely after being absent. If number 53 has been delayed on Venezia for 200 draws, the probability it comes out on the next draw remains 5/90 ≈ 5.56%, exactly like any other number. Delays are a statistically expected phenomenon (by the law of large numbers each number must come out with average frequency in the long run), but they are NOT a short-term predictive signal. Playing a delayed number is a strategy choice, not a rational choice based on rising probabilities.
Responsible gambling
Lotto is legal gambling authorized by ADM. It can cause addiction. Only play amounts you can afford to lose. Set a weekly budget and stick to it. If you feel you no longer have control, ask for help.
