Game rules
MillionDAY: 5 numbers drawn between 1 and 55, two daily draws (1:00 PM lunch, 8:30 PM evening). 4 winning categories: 2/3/4/5 matches. EXTRA option adds 5 numbers drawn from the 50 remaining after the main draw.
Winning probabilities
MD probabilities are computable exactly in closed form (single daily urn).
- 5 numbers: 1 in 3,478,761 (~2.87e-7)
- 5 EXTRA: 1 in 2,118,760 (~4.72e-7)
- Any prize: 1 in 17 (without EXTRA), 1 in 8 (with EXTRA)
Fixed prizes: why they don't scale
MillionDAY has fixed pre-defined prizes: EUR 1,000,000 for "5", pre-defined payouts for 2/3/4 matches. There is NO jackpot scaling: winning today or in a year pays the same. "Jackpot delay strategies" applicable to SuperEnalotto are NOT transferable to MD.
Why MD late numbers mislead
MillionDAY is i.i.d. (each draw independent): a number that has been late for 50 draws has exactly the same probability of being drawn next (5/55 = 9.09%) as a number drawn yesterday. The "delay" is a statistical artifact, not a predictive indicator. CLAUDE.md F-03 explicit: "MD ≠ Lotto" — MD's late-number routes exist only for data quality audit.
National cap 200 and prize dilution
ADM imposes a cap of 200 identical bets per draw. A very popular combination (e.g. birthdates, visual sequences like 1-2-3-4-5) may exceed the cap or have the prize split between multiple winners. Lottomatikai shows a popularity score [0,1]: above 0.7 a soft banner is displayed (NO block, user's choice).
Gambler's fallacy
The gambler's fallacy is the mistaken belief that past independent events influence the future. In MD: no number "is overdue". Lottomatikai tools (LightGBM pool selector, isotonic calibration, Chi²/KS anomaly detection) do NOT predict winning numbers — they support responsible gambling decisions.
